    1. Cheers Jimmy,

I notice you had a nice looking Chub and pike on your latest snow bound trip and they both looked in exceptional winter condition too.

  2. Nice Chubbing. I think I missed a trick recently targeting Pike in the snow when perhaps Chub would have been the better bet.

  3. Thanks Lee,

that could well have been the case, but you never know, chub though can be very amenable in these colder conditions.

I have your blog in my list as well, been reading it for a while Lee and very enjoyable it is too.

  4. Hi mark. Got a bit of inspiration from reading your blog to start making vids, the first of which can be seen on my latest blog - it's not the best and I've learned a few lessons, but a start! Anyway, my question is, in the above blog you have shown your video as a handy tv screen that you click on to play. I've just posted my you tube link, any advice on updating mine to look a bit more like yours?!

    Much appreciated

    1. Hello Jimmy, just watching it now, looks great, to get the video to embed like I do, just go to your video on youtube, click on "Share" and then you will see another drop down area open then you select "Embed" and copy and paste the code into your blog, your video will then show the same as my own.

      kind regards
      Mark

  5. Hello Mark,
So, everything is looking rather more professional old sausage. Love the 'talk to camera' and the music. Well done, Mark!
And a great fishing video - as usual!
    Regards
    Alan

    1. That's good to know Alan,

unfortunately for myself the family cat has not been well and has taken to eating his litter gravel, as well as not eating/breathing properly, he is over 20 years old bless him, we are going to take him to the vets again and there is chance that he may have to be put asleep, not something that is easy to deal with as I have had him since I was 14.

  7. Dear Mark,
Sorry to hear the news about your cat. In days gone by, my two dogs, Winston, a Labrador, and then Burt, an English Bull Terrier, both succumbed to injury and sickness. It's a very sad experience with no easy options.

Both Angie and I send our best wishes. God bless, old sausage.

    Regards
    Alan & Angie.

    1. Alan I am sorry to hear that, it is never easy and it is heart breaking.

We took him to the vet yesterday and he insisted we could not take him home without having him put to sleep, telling us we could have 10 minutes to say goodbye. Now I have never heard of a vet being able to insist on your pet being put to sleep. So during the ten minutes that we had together, we decided to take him back home.

He is sleeping currently in the shower cubicle and has at last managed a tiny amount of food, trouble is I don't know if it is cruel to keep him alive or not, he has been purring when stroked and such, but it is not easy for a pet to tell you how much pain they are in. He has lost a lot of weight too, dropping from 6 kilo down to 4 kilo.

  8. If the end must come, better that it be at home in the company of those he loves.

    1. That is what both myself and mum felt Alan. He has been a good chap, never asked for much but some food and affection, a gentle little lad.
